those are not bird mites, they are bed bugs and will ruin all your belongings! Go to court! He has to pay and have your stuff cleaned.

Whether its birds mites or bed bugs does not matter. How long have you been living there? Is the landlord living in the same building? There are a lot of things to factor before you just go to court. If you just moved in not too long and the other tenants have the same issue BEFORE you moved in you may have the best case. If you have been living there a while then you may have no case and it will be your responsibility unless the landlord lives there and they brought them which is hard to prove. If the landlord does not live there and another tenant brought them you should try to contact the landlord and the tenant to work something out. I am just speaking from experience and from what just makes logical common sense. This is not a legal forum so you should not take legal advice from here anyway but just think logically.
