Description

When exiting 264E to Newtown Road North from the right-most left turn lane, (or turning right from Greenwich onto Newtown, toward VB Blvd) there is a HUGE pothole that is now COMPLETELY UNAVOIDABLE if/when in the right lane. It is just before the 264 underpass and the only way to avoid it is to change lanes completely. I have encountered this road imperfection each morning on my daily commute for the past six months but, prior to this morning, the pothole was barely noticeable. THIS morning, however, it has suddenly become VERY WIDE and VERY VERY DEEP - I'm assuming the cold snap is to blame. It completely took me by surprise how wide and deep it had suddenly become and I was seriously concerned that I had damaged, not only my tire, but my car in general! PLEASE FIX ASAP. It WILL very easily damage a vehicle and/or will easily cause an accident due to people trying to swerve at the last minute to avoid it. The unexpected change to the size and dept completely took me by surprise this morning and I had to slam on my brakes b/c, as usual, it is impossible to change lanes at that location. I was luckily able to slow down quite a bit before "falling in and out of it" but then had to pull over b/c I just KNEW my tire had to have been blown - thankfully it was not, but y'all, ITS BAD! I did not even know you could report potholes until now, if that gives you any indication of how bad it is!!! PLEASE and THANK YOU!!!!
