Description
Technically there should be a painted bike lane here, but it hasn't been painted ever since the roadway was resurfaced (a month ago?). I called this in to CPD's non-emergency line, but posting here to make sure it's recorded.
While this issue is important for CPD to know about, it probably should be re-routed to whoever is supposed to be repainting the lines, and then after that to whoever can determine if bollards can be placed here (or the whole bike lane moved to a sidewalk level cycletrack...but that seems unlikely with the roadway just having been resurfaced...).

I just passed through here and the lane are not painted. Sorry to be nitpicky, but this issue is not resolved and should not be closed until it is, unless you'd like to make a new issue every time I pass through this area and the work is not yet done.
I know this is not proper project tracking software, but until the City of Cambridge provides a more transparent alternative we have no other way of understanding if an issue is being tracked.
Regarding this specific issue, can we also talk about why this work waited until it was already cold out? What can we do to ensure future projects like this happen when cold weather will not impact painting. This is kind of a major safety issue, and it's happened two years in a row now (Hampshire St last winter), so it's now become a chronic problem, not just bad luck with cold/rainy weather. Shall I file a separate issue about that?

While we understand that it can be helpful for some to have a case left open until the work is complete, that is not how we use this platform for capital projects. For example, if you asked about a crosswalk on Pearl St, we wouldn't have left the case open for two years while the project was under construction. Unlike smaller requests (i.e. isolated crosswalk maintenance issue, missing sign, etc) where without a SCF we might not have known about the problem for a while, we are very well aware that Porter Sq has marking work that is not yet complete. It is a capital project under construction. As the supervisor previously stated, we are working with our contractor to schedule this work as soon as the weather allows.
