Description
The signal at Tampa Rd. exiting East Lake Woodlands to go East or West on Tampa Rd. takes FOREVER to cycle. Even when there is no traffic going East or West - not a car in sight in either direction, this light continues to stay red. Vehicles back up into East Lake Woodlands well past the guardhouse there. This has been reported before, but never repaired.

Still not working! On Monday 11/19 at 8:20 am, at 10:15 am, and again on Tues. 11/20 at 9:00 am, traffic trying to exit onto Tampa Rd. from East Lake Woodlands subdivision was backed up inside of East Lake Woodlands well beyond Eric Ct. The light was red for at least 5 minutes! I WALKED out onto Tampa Rd. and looked East and there were no cars coming West whatsoever as far as you could see. I then walked out into THE MIDDLE OF TAMPA RD, turned around and looked West and there was not a single car anywhere close headed East! The closest any East bound vehicle was was just approaching the McMullen-Booth overpass in the far distance.
Additional time on East Lake Woodlands is not the problem. The problem is this light is not "sequenced" to turn green when the gaps in East-West traffic flow occur. Spend 10 to 15 minutes observing this intersection, and you'll see that these gaps occur at regular intervals, but the light controlling exit from East Lake Woodlands doesn't turn green to take advantage of these gaps.
