Basically from the East Lake MARTA to Agnes Scott has become gridlock city. I guess the ultimate goal of deterring people from using Howard and College is achieved. Worst traffic planning EVER!

Gets worse and worse.. more and more frustrating. There needs to be a comprehensive, competent traffic signal timing study done - until then.. they will only be patching and putting band-aids on things. People are now cutting through quiet neighborhood streets and blazing by young kids in their cars.

I agree. I am very concerned about children and pedestrians getting hit now more than I ever was before when there were two lanes. People are frustrated and will make stupid decisions due to the frustration. It took me 15 minutes to get through the Agnes/Scott and the Candler Road traffic lights this weekend without much traffic. Further, if you live in Lenox Place it is hard to get onto DeKalb Ave even turning right because the lane is so tight against the north side of the road. Sigh. I am very frustrated. At this point, I go out of my way to avoid this area when at all possible.

Adair Street traffic is getting absurd. Three blocks long with four stop signs and three traffic bumps yet people still try to fly through to avoid the snarled mess on DeKalb Avenue. Maybe we should bring back the metal plates we hated so much last year.
