To Whom In May Concern,
I work in Emeryville and get to my job off of Powell Street west of HWY 580, I noticed today that the dual (left/right) middle lane off of north bound HWY 580 off-ramp has changed to an exclusive right lane. I'm not sure why this was done since it now appears that there is a long line of traffic that is in the far left lane. Additionally, the old sign is still in place thus contributing to the confusion.
I didn't see a problem with the old lane configurations and I'd encourage you to revert back to a dual left/right option in the middle lane.

New signs were installed. If an issue with lane configurations is still an issue, we direct you to attend one of our Transportation Committee and Public Works Committee meetings.
The Transportation Committee and Public Works Committee meetings are conducted on the second Thursday of every month at the Emeryville City Hall building (1333 Park Ave.) at 9:00 AM. The meetings are open to the public. These Committee meetings are the appropriate forum to convey concerns with transportation and traffic items.
