I will check to see if this can be changed. Often times bicycles are not able to be detected by the loops in the asphalt that are used to detect an automobile at the signal.

Thank you for your response David. What is the next step then? It makes it very difficult to bike through this intersection and dangerous to press the walk signal on a bike coming from Lucerne.

We are currently evaluating traffic signal technology that will be capable of detecting pedestrians and cyclist at signalized intersections. I can not commit to a time frame for testing this equipment but we are investigating. The safest thing to do is walk your bike and press the pedestrian button. We greatly appreciate your input.
