I certainly appreciate "Local Guy's" comments but I also know that the parking situation in Parkside is very challenging. Eliminating 1 parking space at this corner certainly seems like a good idea; however, I think that eliminating 2 spaces--as is currently happening--- should be revisited.

Cars illegally parked in the zone marked as "No Parking Anytime" below Sherman St on State obstruct adequate visibility - this is particularly a problem at this intersection since the intersection is not perpendicular so visibility down State from Sherman is further obstructed by the angle. See diagram.

I appreciate the problem completely but, perhaps there is a way to make oncoming traffic more visible at this intersection without eliminating 2 parking spaces.
