Description

I posted this Back on 9-28-18 issue# 4961978 and again on 10-11-18 it Issue ID: 5012114 and is still not corrected.

Please See photo. you can clearly see the signal is ALL GREEN yet the PED is holding "DONT WALK"
This may be an intermittent problem as this morning I turned around and found the PED with the "WALK" displayed. So just because it displays "WALK" does not mean the problem is solved.

PED is not changing to Walk when light turns green. this PED is not controlled by a PED Button but by the signal Controller. There is only PED buttons for crossing MLK not 83Ave.
PED is stuck on "DONT WALK" '
AGAIN this is the PED facing North on the Southwest corner of 83ed and MLK.

Maybe the Traffic engineer didn't understand.
So let me clarify.
On this intersection each corner has a PED. the east/West ones require you to press the PED CALL button to accurate the PEDs so you can walk across MLK. The buttons only work for the EAST/WEST PEDS.

The North/South PED accurate when a green light cycle is active. there are NO PED CALL buttons for the NORTH/SOUTH crossings to cross 83ed ave. the only time the controller holds the "DONT WALK" is during a green arrow where the cars will cross the crosswalk.

NOW, if you go to the NORTHWEST corner and LOOK at the PED facing you on SOUTHWEST corner you will see as I did today that the PED does not give a WALK but HOLDS the DONT WALK even through an ALL GREEN cycle.
AGAIN this is the PED ON THE SOUTHWEST corner that is holding DONT WALK.
I travel across this intersection EVERY DAY and it holds the DONT WALK every day..
ALSO let me be very clear there is NO PED CALL button to cross 83ed AVE.

Is it a failure of the PED Display?
Has the Load Switch failed?? (without tripping the conflict monitor??)
Is it a wiring problem?
Is there something not correctly programmed into the Signal timer?
Is there a failure of either the Controller or MMU?

also asked...
Q. What is the issue?
A. Crosswalk signal not working
