Description
This was a close call! A huge branch fell on our brand new roof for the second time in a week! It barely missed the telephone wire and the car parked in the driveway. The loud thump of the branch crashing on the side of house still woke up the household in the middle of the night! We appreciate the city responding quickly, however, it is extremely unfair that we are told to pay for a limb removal service that incorporates a city tree that expels large fallen branches occasionally on the property. We were also told that even though this tree was serviced twice over the past 5 years, "that is what homeowners insurance is for"...will the city pay the deductibles or the hospital bills if a fallen branch harms a passerby or a child? We pay premium taxes - and being told that the city has "limited resources" (2-man crew) and "that there are several more important decaying city trees that take precedence" are not convincing answers. Please remove the limbs of this distressed tree that hang over the home, the sidewalk and telephone lines.
