Description

There is an Air B&B at 232 York Street J.C.\
The callers are very concerned this place had people rent the Air B&B this weekend it was on Sunday morning 10/07/18 they turned on a non working fire place in which filled the area and the neighbor's homes with gas this is a very dangerous move that these people did if it wasn't for a neighbor that was awake there could have been a very bad explosion and lost of lives due to these irresponsible people. why is it that the owner is allowed to have the fire place in the first place. Where is the inspections for these Air B&B State inspections City Inspections. There should be more information given to the people that have been owners of their property for years.
They want someone to answer these questions.

Called the City Clerk's office to get information on where someone can call in the State to find out more about the Air B&B's in the City. The rules and regulations and when inspection will take place from the agencies that are to be regulating them.

A Housing Code Enforcement inspector is scheduled to investigate this complaint on 10.10.2018 between 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

The constituent was called back to inform that the inspector from housing code Enforcement will be out to inspect this Air B&B as well as the Fire Prevention Department will be doing a Fire Inspection on this property as well.

Resident called. She said that housing code attempted to inspect but did not gain access. She was informed that she should report to Dennis Newburgh in fire safety.
Also should be reported to zoning.

This is being addressed both Fire Prevention & Housing Code is aware of the situation with this property they will continue to investigate the issue. The owner was notified they want to gain excess to the property.

The neighbor would like to know what the inspection revel and if they were able to get into the property she had a very bad experience and a very bad scare she don't want that again.

Housing Code is going back out to this address 10/17/18 to try to gain excess into the property again.

Our HCE inspector was at the property on 10.10.2018. He was unable to gain entry to investigate this complaint. We will attempt to inspect this property on 10.17.2018 from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

A Housing Code Enforcement Officer went to the premises yesterday but could not get in. A letter requesting entry on Oct. 30, 2018 is being sent to the owner.

The constitute called again to find out what is going on with this property. The next door neighbor is stating the owner is staying in there this week.
Can you see if you can send someone to this address in question.

Ms. Lorraine called 12-14-18 about 323 York Street to complain that they are continuing to rent like a hotel, fire safety events including a fire department call out at 2:00 a.m. in the morning by the fire department and could not get access in building. The building is not managed and operated properly. Late night noises from the guest are waking up the neighbors. Ms. Lorraine wants to know the status.
