Description

The median barrier located on Milham just before Westnedge should really be extended or yellow barrier posts (plastic kind) should be installed. There are two issues which need to be addressed:

1) East bound Milham traffic wishing to turn into the Panera parking lot perform a u-turn at this location, sometimes even needing to perform a 3-point turn right in the middle of the road. This is indicated by the red arrow in my attachment.

2) Traffic exiting Panera sometimes performs a left hand turn to proceed east on Milham, causing them to drive on the wrong side of the road. This is indicated by the blue arrow.

A day does not go by where I see this occur even though the "no u-turn" and "no left turn" signs are posted.

I'm not sure why the median was cut short, it seems like if it was extended 6'-12' it would have easily prevented this.

With the understanding that extending the concrete median could come at a cost, and not easy to do right before winter, would it be possible to install those 3'-4' tall yellow barrier posts (unsure of exact name). They are the ones attached to concrete, flex when hit by a car or snow, and should be fairly inexpensive to install. The green bar in my photo shows the desired location to add some sort of barrier/deterrent.

Far too many people make these illegal u-turns causing close calls or increasing traffic congestion.
