Off duty officer told me Police have been instructed to ignore parking violations because nobody pays the tickets This is a joke! Police have sworn to serve and protect. What right do they have to ignore obvious violation?. A warning would be better than nothing. The Mayors representative should call the Police Chief and all should earn their pay. Passing the buck will not get respect.

Law enforcement issues (illegal street parking or other illegal activities, abandoned/inoperative vehicles in the street, noise ordinance violations, etc.) need to be reported directly to the St. Petersburg Police Department by calling 727-893-7780 (for non-emergencies) or 911 (for emergencies.)
