I would like to add to that. I've lived on 38th Ave N for more than 18 years and it's gotten worse. At times it sounds like the Daytona 500 and a drag strip -- late at night I've heard them revving up and racing each other. Also, I know during the rush hour traffic that they exceed the speed limit, especially around the 5pm hour. There have been multiple accidents, some life threatening and fatal due to the lack of stop lights to slow them down. I live on the stretch between 43rd and 49th and have had 6 cars on my property that have taken out trees, ruined my yard, and come close to hitting my home -- the majority, due to excessive speed. Maybe the city needs to reconfigure the stop light placements between 34th St N and 49th St N -- by spacing them out better, and adding one more. I also want to note that between the stretch of 34th St N and 49th St N, there is one school, two day cares, two churches, and residents with children and pets. It's time the mayor paid attention and took action.
