City council voted to lower the speed limit on Sayward street several years ago to 25MPH. The police set up a flashing speed light for a few days, but no speed limit signs ever went up.

East Main has also been a speedway lately. My kids cross East Main and/or Sayward nearly daily. It is truly terrifying. Please, a flashing speed light, speed bumps, something--anything.

Also going along with this, not only do people speed down Sayward, but when there is traffic people like to squeeze their cars between the parked cars and the cars driving. I can't tell you the amount of times my car and other cars have been within an inch of being hit from these people. Yes, there are signs up, but no, the people don't read them. And going on with the speed, no matter what time of the day people drive insane down here, the flashing speed sign might affect the speeding if it were put back up maybe towards the beginning not the end of the street next time.

I can't even tell you the number of times that I have almost been hit by cars speeding down Sayward while walking from my house to my car, which is in the parking lane directly in front of my house. I swear people think that this street is a speedway.
