I am a local resident and have been in the Boulevard Variety store. Many times I have seen things which cause me concern. However, after today's event I am filing a formal complaint. I was in this store twice on 9/20, during the early am hours I noticed a dead rat pushed off to the side of one of the aisles. When I returned just over four hours later I noticed the dead rat remained on the floor. I believe this to be ahealth cose violation? as food is sold there. I have also noticed in the past food packages with ripped plastic containers, I now realize that this is from rats getting into food packages which he is selling. Today, I told him I was reporting him to you.
