  There are numerous other reports of this problem over the last few years, including another today by a visually impaired individual who was almost injured by this problem spot:

  It is on the south corner of North and Racine. Same place as all of the other reports over the last 4 years. It is the exact same thing you’ve sent workers to many times. One time someone showed up, removed the orange cone a neighbor had put there to warn of a hazard, marked it fixed, and left.

  It has only gotten worse. This is a disaster waiting to happen to some poor person who falls into what is now essentially a pile of debris. It needs to be fixed immediately. This is not something the neighbors can take care of - we need the city to address it.

  It is just a pile of wood planks now. Was just walking my dog and saw a car hit it and slide into the gutter. Scraped up the wheel and fender pretty good. I told them about the issue and they are planning to file a claim with the city.
