I agree. Something needs to be done about these slippery boards, including the ones between the bridge and Vollmerhausen. It has taken me weeks to recover from injuries from slipping and falling on these.

Thanks for chiming in, Ruth. John--Hope you all can attend to these soon. They are normally slick and I do understand it's hard to keep them up, but they're really bad now. Basically, if you ride on them at all (I was on a mountain bike w/ wide, new tires) you're probably going to fall down. I think the one closest to Carlinda Drive/Ave is the worst. Thank you!

The 3 boardwalks I'm talking about are PBTBR 5, 6, and 7. 6 and 7 are the worst. All 3 are on the path from the Pratt RR Bridge to Lake Elkhorn. I removed quite a few leaves from PBTBR 7 today during a bike ride, so the wood can try, but not nearly enough. Hope these can be power washed and sealed before fall. I'm sure lots of Columbia trail boardwalks are in similar condition. thanks!

So far as I know, this issue has not been resolved. when will these boardwalks get needed attention?? I cleaned up the worst boardwalk on the PBT going towards Wincopin w/ my feet yesterday while on a bike ride--clearing leaves so it dries out eventually. Happy to do this occasionally as a trail user and one who enjoys these beautiful trails. You all need to attend to the other boardwalks I've mentioned soonest.
