Wrong way parking is illegal in Burlington. It's just not enforced.

According to DPW, since it is not a city ordinance (just a state statute) it can only be ticketed by police and not BTV Parking Enforcement. I just sent an email to city officials asking why it has not been made a city ordinance (apparently it had been considered in the past but rejected). Hi, any chance the ticketing could go broader if properly announced through fpf and others. I was eastbound on brookes and an oncoming car cut right in front of me to grab an empty spot I was about to pass. Kinda hairy situation.
