I also agree, with the bus stops and new businesses and restaurants in the area a crosswalk or two are definitely needed.

Yes, pedestrians are constantly crossing in this area, please work on crosswalks in this area. This is a major safety issue!

Totally agree with need for crosswalk there. Since the only options with cross walk near there are for folks to got down to 9th Ave or up to the crosswalk at 15th Ave, many end up jay walking dangerously accross 4th St. Some traffic calming there may also help alot to start to bring speeds down to something reasonable for closer into dense area.

Transportation Department staff have again reviewed this area on 4th Street between11th & 13th Avenues N for a marked pedestrian crosswalk. Our review determined that pedestrian crossings were actually lower than the last time we studied in October of 2018. There were no hours of the day when there was more then 7 crossings. Therefore, based on State requirements (as 4th Street is a State roadway) we are not able, at this time to install a crosswalk. However, one of the State requirements is if the route is a neighborhood greenway / path. Since the City's Complete Streets Program ( http://www.stpete.org/transportation/complete_streets.php) has designated 12th Avenue as a future Neighborhood Greenway, once approved we will be able to meet that State requirement and install a pedestrian / bicycle crossing. The Complete Streets Program is scheduled to go to City Council in April and if approved this facility could then be programmed.
