Does the City plan on actually addressing Illegal Short-Term rentals or just check calendar dates?
Most of us are tired of having to be forced to live next to illegal hotels.

Happy Face - I find it hilarious that people like you feel that people like myself and others who don't want to tolerate Illegal Hotels in our neighborhoods should just "shut up" because you don't feel we should have a say in how our neighborhoods should function.
Well, we're not going away quietly. So you'd better get used to it.

To the original poster:
Please do check to ensure that your DirtBag neighbor is not also claiming Homestead -- as that is the norm. They like to have both the advantage renting their house like an Illegal Hotel and also double-dip by not paying taxes. It's called "Fraud" and there are fines and jail time for that crime.
Because these Illegal Hotel rentals are typically committing tax evasion, the county is extremely receptive to learning about this and will also impose FINES in the thousands of dollars on the home owners.
I highly recommend that you investigate and report them. It can be done Anon as well.
Good luck with shutting this garbage down. You should not be forced to live like this.

Go figure....I checked the property out and it's another home owner committing Tax Fraud by renting their property and claiming Homestead.
The city of St. Pete is enabling these crimes.

Their homestead is being cancelled for 2019 already. I think it is time to start complaining to DBPR Division of hotels and restaurants. You have to have a special license for transient rentals. It is time to make them shut these businesses down. The legislature might allow you to rent your property, but you still have to follow non-transient and transient laws and zoning. Call to action:

There is also a HAPPENING NOW! phone number on the website and you can call it in as you see the action happening. If you don't get results, then start emailing Tallahassee Division of Hotels and Restaurants.
