Description

This is actually a Pedestrian Safety issue. I attach a photo of several LimeBike scooters that were parked on the sidewalk by Lake Merritt on Tuesday June 19, 2018, at 7:16 p.m. These scooters are left all around the lake now, sometimes on lakeside paths that are no where near streets, so I wonder whether LimeBike attends to them. Also, though, I've never seen a LimeBike scooter rider wearing a helmet (aren't helmets supposed to be required?), and the scooter riders drive on sidewalks, swooping around pedestrians, all the time (as do bicyclists). Why is pedestrian safety apparently irrelevant to the Oakland government?
