Dumping hazardous materials

Located on the north side of 126th Ave
East of 66th Street Alfa Food Equipment LLC as of July 2015

This whole property is a disaster. buildings are full of mold, water damage, junk is scattered all over the property. Buildings roofs are falling apart. next wind will take materials into the wind, with potential life and property damage to nearby residential homes and people. How does this go on, where are the fire - city inspectors. look at the aerial views of this mess.

It is unbelievably abhorrent and completely unacceptable that Pinellas County and Pinellas Park have allowed this property to continue to exist in this condition for YEARS. It is my understanding that fines have previously been imposed, obviously that has done nothing to cure the problem. Further action needs to be taken. This property poses a life, health, and safety risk to the community/neighborhood surrounding it. I can only imagine the environmental issues that exist on the property. Please take immediate action to correct this situation once and for all.

OH Yes, and now there are dozens of dilapidated boats, a junkyard, eyesore, health hazard, environmental catastrophe

Why was the issue not directed to City of Largo in the first place?

According to the City maps it is in the city of Largo. They have jurisdiction.

With that kind of pollution the EPA could enforce

Then through SeeClickFix, the report should have been sent to City of Largo. Unincorportated.....

When reporting, the person reporting does not select the agency in which to report to - just the address. This is nothing but a run around by the county.

Even though this issue is located off of a County maintained roadway, the property lies within Largo's jurisdiction for Code Enforcement to step in and investigate this issue. That division has been notified of this issue to be addressed. Citizens can use this App to report issues no matter the jurisdiction. When reviewed by an official, it can then be transferred to the correct jurisdiction, if it is not currently in the correct division, to be handled. Thanks. Pinellas County Public Works.

This App is actually used by many municipalities and jurisdictions, not just the County. Thank you for your comment. We have to close this issue on our end (Pinellas County) so that Largo can get it on their end. Closing this issue isn't really "closing" it, it is just closing it on our end, within our box, if that make sense. The City has been made aware of the issue to be handled. Thanks. This request has not been fixed. Please leave this report open. City of Largo had not received the issue. It had to be reported all over again on their website. They would like to be able to access the public remarks and allow the public to remark. Please leave this open. The City of Largo has the Issue ID and Can access it. This issue has been on going for over a year. It is growing,junk vecihles,tree limbs,, trash . needs to be addressed NOW

The City of Largo Code Enforcement is fully aware of this property and the dumping that has occurred, the inoperable vehicles, debris on the property, the building at the front that has a roof with holes in it, we have several open cases on this with daily fines that are running.
We have received new complaints of bees infesting the walls of one building and that is in process. this property is not forgotten and we are looking into anything that we can do to bring them into compliance, we have met with Pinellas County on site about it for any assistance they could give. I will close this complaint window as it has nothing to do with Pinellas County, anyone that has interest in it can contact City of Largo Code Enforcement at pjensen@largo.com for continuing information.

Thank you Mr Jensen for your message and also your voice mail message. This report, as you must know, is in reference to health and environmental hazard. It is suggested that you work directly with the office of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Your message said that you have been working on the problems with this property for years. And it is expensive and time consuming to take the case to litigation. Perhaps it should be bumped up to someone who has more authority than you do. It is a health and environmental hazard. And the community would like it to be cleaned up. You did not make mention of the Special Magistrate hearing 6/13/18. More time and money spent with no resolution. We will share your Email address. Thank you for the work you have done on this, however, the illegal dumping should not be tolerated by the City of Largo or the local taxpayers.
