You should call the police Nonemergency number to report this when you see it. They will move them along and it will help focus more police resources on the area. Been through this before in another area and it makes a difference. Just keep calling.
If you see evidence of drug sales in the neighborhood also first call that number and then call Vice and Narcotics Division at 551-3700. Please give as much information as possible like address, number of people, clothing, color, make and model of car, tag number . Street drug sales are coming back. We need to work together with our neighborhood association and crime watch to keep this from taking over the neighborhood.
Just as an update, the transients were still there when I passed by this morning and so I did report it to the police and they were sending someone out.
We work closely with various City departments and local social service providers to address issues faced by our homeless population, and we also work with neighborhood associations to address the concerns they have, as well. Our Police Department has a Street Outreach Team that actively canvasses areas where the activities of the homeless are noticed, and they will continue doing so to ensure the safety of all citizens. Please immediately report any criminal activity or safety concerns to the SPPD directly by calling 727-893-7780 if not an emergency, or 911 if an emergency. Thank you.
Thank you for reporting this. I have asked our Codes Compliance department to check this location, since it is private property, and there may be codes violations involved. I also referred this to our Police Department and asked them to monitor this location at all hours of the day, including evening and early morning hours. Should they encounter anyone, they will also offer their help, including free transportation to shelter, if necessary. We will continue to monitor this area to offer our assistance to anyone in need of help, as well as enforce local ordinances. Thank you again for reporting this to us.

Tom Tito, is there a neighborhood association and a crime watch? If so where do I sign up!! And bored housewife, looks like "some" things are changing?? I have notices "most" of the trash cans are moved off the curb and the shoes dangling from the electric wires are gone as requested. WE need to push through and make this a desirable neighborhood again!!
Tomorrow night. Thursday. 6:00. Bartlett Park Resource center , corner of 16th and MLK. Bartlett Park neighborhood association meeting! Probably won’t get much done about the strip club but it’s very important that we get as many people as possible to come to this because they’ve only been getting like two or three people and only TOGETHER are we going to make any changes around here. And I just spoke with the code department supervisor for our area and she is going to attend this meeting. So this would be a great meeting for everyone to attend and they only meet once a month so try to squeeze this in tomorrow night everybody!
