Description
Vehicles speed through this curve both directions. Making matters worse, vehicles are parked on both sides of the street narrowing the travel lanes down so that only one vehicle can pass through. Can we have a traffic study done for possible calming?

When residential streets are constructed they are not built by the government, but by developers. Part of the process is for the developer to complete the work to the government entity's standards, and when they are done, petition to have it accepted for permanent maintenance by the City. The City does not accept anything for maintenance by the taxpayers that has not been inspected and confirmed to have been properly built. Sometimes developers fail to do this and simply leave the streets as is in a public right-of-way...often because the development is not yet completed. Often the developer departs the scene and leaves the Homeowners Association holding the bag. The street may be in the City limits but have never been confirmed to have been built properly. Until this happens we can't spend the citizens' money repairing the road.
Our new Unified Development Ordinance changes this to require that improvements be bonded up front, so if a developer fails to complete the work, the City can call in the bond and use the money to properly complete the work so it can be accepted for maintenance.

The GG HOA Board is working on closing out the premit so that we can turn the streets over to the city.
