Description

There is a water drainage ditch/canal that bi-sects our property. This drainage is required to be kept open so it flows freely. There is also a street storm water drain that is in front of our house, that empties into this drainage ditch/canal. A the side of our property, where the water exits our property there is a storm water retention pond within about 100' - 150' of our property. The drainage is blocked by silt buildup, and grass/weeds that has overgrown the drainage from our property to the retention pond. This is causing the water to backup onto our property during periods of rain, and silt has now filled the lower end of the drainage ditch on the inside of our fence. The silt has built up so much that there is almost no clearance under the fence for the water to drain which causes the water to backup even more. There is about 30' - 40' of drainage area where silt has collected on our property, and it is filling up the drainage ditch, and causing additional flooding during rainy periods.
