I am a single mother of 2 children and is currently living at Osprey Pointe Apartment located at 1900 55th Avenue South of St. Petersburg. I am living there for almost six years and my apartment got flooded several times by the apartment that is above me. The last flooding was cause by a leakage in the pipes of the wall in my place. There is mold inside the bedrooms and bathroom ( also in the grout areas that can't be cleanse with bleach), you can actually smell the musty mold scent. Both the bathroom tub and the kitchen sink has rust marks, and there is a rust hole that's in the sink. The last flooding that took place in January lasted for a couple of days because maintenance could not locate the problem. My kids and I literally were walking through cold dirty water to enter our bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. I spoke to the manager about the condition in which we were handled very crudely. I wasn't even offered to be place elsewhere until the problem resolve. Nothing. I have lived in other places even owning our home and had never seen such great infestation of roaches. When I had spoken to one of the managers recently her comment was she has them too, and because I cook that is probably the reason I have it worst. Every time I happen to go there for the place to be treated by the termite worker there is a list. People also comment about it on line. This infestation has been happening for over a year (it has gotten worst). She then suggested that I must wash my dishes at nights and, this was her quote " roaches don't usually knock on your door, they come in from everywhere." She made that remark because I told her that they come from the ceiling, every space where you can't get to them and, furthermore I told her that I do wash my dishes most nights, my daughter can attest to that.. I have pictures of the condition. I do believe my kids and I deserve much better living in a two bedroom apartment and paying $871.07. I am told my request has been denied to get a transfer.
