Description
Today: 4/22/2018 there was heavy equipment and it sounded like large chipper cutting down trees in the conservation easement and chopping it up to haul away. The mangroves, palmettos and pine trees are a part of this. I did not get any closer than the picture. but Sunday afternoon, big equipment in this protected area is concerning.

This matter was investigated by inspectors from Environmental Management who did not find any evidence of mangrove trimming violations. They did observe clearing of Brazilian Pepper Wood and some additional unprotected vegetation, but these actions do not appear to be in violation of any mangrove protection ordinances.
