Description
Cars regularly use the "no stopping any time" area in front of the fire hydrant to park for quick runs businesses along Chestnut Hill Ave, often blocking said hydrant and the adjacent crosswalk. Maybe we could get some flexposts, or better yet, a curb bulge for the crosswalk with some planters here to prevent this? It gets much worse during the winter when the crosswalk and bus stop are never shoveled, and any form of traffic calming on CHA would be a huge boost to walkability in this area, which often includes senior pedestrians and kids who live nearby.
