It's a responsibility thing. Be sure to have poop bags with you. You need the City to provide diapers for your kid too?

@gary if you've never had a baby or a dog, I don't blame you for not knowing the awful feeling of being in this predicament. No need to be negative. It was a suggestion to help keep our beautiful city clean, and our shoes clean! I stepped dog poop last week due to someone not cleaning up after their dog and am still frustrated that it could have been avoided. Cheers!

Whatever, it's a people thing. I see rolled up dirty diapers tossed out on the side of the street, dumped under bushes on hiking trails, and other trash just feet away from a trash can. Doesn't surprise me that people are in "too much of a predicament" to pick up after their dogs.

Pinellas County - Animal Services assigned this issue to St. Pete PROD integration

Years ago the city had Mutt Mitts posted in many of the downtown parks. After a while it became apparent that people were hoarding them. The city was supplying poop bags for tens of thousands of dogs. A few spoiled it for the many. The answer now is bring your own bag.
