I have called in the pass and nothing. For some reason, you guys take care of cars but when it comes to these commercial vehicles, you don't do anything about them. This vehicle in question was parked in the same spot the entire weekend and not even a warning. it isn't there during the day. But it is there EVERY SINGLE NIGHT parking overnight. These big commercial vehicles do not let people see as they are getting out of their parking garages and shouldn't be allow, specially in at night when visibility is not as good.
We appreciate you for again bringing this violation to the attention of the Police Department. The vehicle has already been issued a parking citation and additional citations will be issued if the vehicle is found to be violating any state, county, or local statutes/ordinances. If future violations are observed by the community please call the Surfside Police Department non-emergency phone number 305-861-4862, immediately so a police officer or parking enforcement officer can be dispatched and appropriately handle the violation. If you wish to discuss this issue in person or wish to speak with me directly please call the Surfside Police Department non-emergency phone number 305-861-4862, and ask for Lieutenant Bambis and we can schedule a convenient time to discuss the issue. Thank you
Just an FYI.
Since you gave him a ticket a few days ago according to your last comment, the same commercial vehicle has still been parking overnight and no ticket has been issued.
We appreciate you again bringing this violation to the attention of the Police Department. The vehicle was observed in the area this morning (03-29-2018), but it moved prior to the one hour time frame required for a parking citation to be issued. I again ask you to call the police department non-emergency number 305-861-4862, if you observe the vehicle parked at the location. A check of department records did not show any calls for service in the 200 block of 89th Street between 7:00pm on 03-28-2018 and 10:00 am on 03-29-2018 regarding parking issues. If you wish to discuss this issue in person or wish to speak with me directly please call the Surfside Police Department non-emergency phone number 305-861-4862, and ask for Lieutenant Bambis and we can schedule a convenient time to discuss the issue. Thank you
The obvious solution is for a patrol car go through that street during the night a few times. Or the OP (original poster) call it in, early in the morning say around 5 or 6am
So saturday night i called around 9:30pm because you asked me too and a police officer (woman) was sent. Not only was this vehicle parked there but there was another commercial vehicle right behind. She came, she left, no citation to either one. I took pictures of the officer there and afterward no ticket. I also took picture of how from my vehicle i couldn’t see oncoming traffic. I guess calling doesn’t do anything either. These two vehicles blocked all view to oncoming traffic.
I apologize for my earlier comments.
Even though last night no ticket was given, this morning there was a ticket on the vehicle.
Thank you for taking care of this.
