Description

First let me start by saying this website is about as useful as the Kalamazoo road commission as this is my 3rd attempt to post a simple problem, so no wonder nothing is getting fixed.

There is a large pothole on the I-94 offramp heading westbound onto E. Kilgore, (approximate location would be just south of the 1800 block of Nottingham Ave.) I honestly don't know if this falls under Kalamazoo's problem or if that is part of I-94 itself, I guess that being MDOT's problem. Either way it became my problem as it caused a flat tire and other possible unknown problems with my car as I hit it last night.

Where this pothole is located is especially dangerous as it located where traffic is coming off the highway at speed and merging into 2 other lanes of traffic with a very short distance to merge before the stoplights. Also at night there is absolutely NO lighting in that area, so there is no way to see this pothole.

I'm a delivery driver, I drive this area 6 nights a week, I can tell you how long certain traffic lights stay green for, I know where the road puddles up or floods when it rains, I know how to hit the train tracks just right as not to jolt my suspension, and I sure as hell know how to avoid potholes. This is in no way my own fault, and if I have to pay anything out of my own pocket I will be filing a claim with who ever is responsible for that road. I suggest this pothole be fixed immediately, like hours from now before somebody gets killed. Also in the future that whole area needs lighting of some sort, anyone else reading this that is familiar with that area I'm sure would agree with me. Thanks a concerned citizen.
