Description

A couple of years ago, the City cleaned, repaired, and improved 2 inlets along the easement between 806 and 804 Corlett Drive and also added 2 new inlets and a berm, sodding the entire area afterward. This helped immensely for quite a while to prevent water from draining down into and flooding 806 Corlett Drive (my property). The property was water-free from almost a year, despite heavy rains. In the past year or so, the drainage onto 806 Corlett has worsened again. I'm requesting that the City do the following to address the issue:
1. Have engineering reassess the area (preferably after some rain) to ensure that the 4 inlets and the berm between 806 and 804 Corlett are functioning as they should to prevent drainage into 806 Corlett Drive and that nothing further is needed. (Water stands between the inlets after rain, appearing to slowly soak into and saturate the soil beside the 806 Corlett retaining wall; water/soil drains over and under the wall.)
2. Clean ALL 4 inlets in the easement between 806 and 804 Corlett.
3. Clear brush/trees and debris in the easement to help alleviate the problem.
4. RE-SOD the easement since the initial sod didn't survive. It's down to soil and the netting that was underneath the original sod. The soil in the easement is eroding and draining onto the 806 Corlett driveway.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help with this! The City did an amazing job with the initial work two years ago, and it made a huge difference!
