It's rather sad, the amount of bike theft and car break-ins continue to skyrocket. We are a small city, but we do have resources and they should be better utilized for police patrols and presence. I don't know what the answer is, but the City of Emeryville needs to step up and do something with its police force to provide more local patrolling.
