This intersection was redesigned by the Florida Dept. of Transportation (FDOT). Several requests of this nature have been denied by the FDOT due to the current geometric design of the intersection. Re-evaluation of the intersection will be considered after the completion of the Gateway Expressway which will impact traffic volumes/patterns at this location.

When will the Gateway expressway be completed? I thought that timeline is 3 years from now? We can’t wait for 3 years before someone makes an easy decision on this.
