Description
The crosswalk signal is too short, you barely step off the curb and the signal changes from solid white to flashing orange and you need to cross 4 lanes of traffic to reach the other sidewalk at Quincy Adams T station.

The flashing person lasts between 4 to 8 seconds depending on the location, the flashing hand is the time calculated using the MUTCD requirements to walk from curb to curb and you can walk during this portion of the pedestrian signal if you are already in the crosswalk and the solid hand means don’t cross the street.
