Hello PW--I bet this sign has already been stickered so folks can read it, The part that fell through the cracks was just posting "we did it, now you can read it" [and tell us thanks publicly because we know you love us]. I'm very impressed with how quickly public works fixes these faded signs, and how much city money public works saves by stickering them rather than replacing the whole sign. I've overexerted myself and am quite a bit more crippled than usual, so I can't make it that 3 and 1/2 blocks to take a picture of this sign and post it so you will know to say you made the sign readable again by _______,
(Continued) now give us our lovins. I get a kick out of saying "Great Job!" publicly to each Alameda employee who hits the target of "legible sign" or "healthy tree" or "replaced the light" or "contacted Caltrans to fix the ________", etc. Fixing sun-faded signs within two weeks is one of the great strengths of Public Works, so come on and take credit for fixing this one.
