Problem posted since 10/31/2017 still not resolved. This is inside of Clark’s Glen community. Similar issues within the community ( 6508 Ballymore missing 2 trees, 6512 Ballymore 1 deadtree root, 6557 Ballymore 2 trees removed last year, new trees not planted; 6508 Langford Ct. missing 2 trees; 6516 Langford Ct. missing 1 tree) were posted around the same time. 6525 & 6443 Galway Dr. Each has 1 missing tree. We walked through these streets daily wondering why it’s taking so long ( 2 years and 7 months) to replant those trees☹️.
THE ASH TREES THAT WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED ON LANGFORD CT AND LIMERICK CT WERE DONE WITH SPECIAL FUNDS FROM THE EMERALD ASH BORER PROGRAM. ALL OTHER STREET TREES THAT ARE REMOVED ON THE COUNTY ARE REPLACED IN TURN, WHEN FUNDING BECOMES AVAILABLE. IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR THE REPLACEMENTS TO TAKE A FEW YEARS, DUE TO OUR BACK LOG. WE HAVE APPROXIMATLY 300,000 TREES TO MAINTAIN. THE TREES AT 6528 & 6557 BALLYMORE LN. AND 6525 GALWAY DR. ARE ON SCHEDULE TO BE REPLACED THIS WINTER/SPRING. THE OTHER LOCATIONS, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM OR THE RESIDENTS HAD THEM REPLACED.
Thank you for reporting your issue/request to the Howard County Department of Public Works. The tree issue has been addressed and will be closed in Tell HoCo. If you require more information, please contact Department of Public Works Highways office 410-313-7450.
