Description

The construction site at 27th between Broadway and Valdez converted a travel lane into a bike lane to ensure safe bicycle access throughout the development process. However, the construction crew regularly blocks this SE bound bike lane with large trucks, without any lane closures, signage or other traffic controls. This is particularly dangerous as it is a blind turn due to the construction fencing and equipment. Ideally this bike lane should remain clear all the time and construction staging should occur elsewhere. At the very least when a vehicle is in the bike lane on 27th it should be closed from Broadway to Valdez with traffic controls and/or a flagger.
