Well there's a contract issue. The out of state owners signed a very long lease with the former restaurateur and, despite going out of business, they still owe on the lease. The owner is apparently happy enough to keep collecting on the property and could care less what the neighbors think. Considering its abandoned appearance and how many years it's been that way, there has to be SOMETHING the city can do to pressure them into action.

There is a company in the permit stages of leasing/building on the lot but I think there may be issues with the DOT
