I am wondering if there has been any resolution or action for this. The condition could be hazardous if someone has to pull to the side on the narrow road. Particularly at night when you might not even be able to see the hazard.
This is still an issue - even more so since last night was Halloween and was a dark night. This really needs to be addressed before snow falls. I cut back all the vines on the sign on Stow Road [sign said stop ahead] but I am not ready to lug a chainsaw down the street to deal with this.
The Highway Dept worked on Stow Road for several weeks, I cannot believe that they did not see the overgrown sign and do something about it. Citizen action is important but when it comes to road safety that is the Highway Dept. job.
After 91 days there ought to be some type of resolution - There was time to put up stop signs on the Stowe Road bridge - why not cut these trunks when you were in the same area?
Most of the SCF posts I see at least get some acknowledgment from the Town in a short period of time. So far after three months I have not even seen anything for this one.
Town has been up and down George Hill removing tree parts brought down by the storm. They drove right by these trees and did not remove them or cut them back for safety sake.
I understood that the Town owns the sides of the road - something like 20 feet from the center line - these stumps hang over a town owned road so if the town does not cut them who does?

The tree crew is out this morning to look at the issue and if its on town property they will remove the trees.

Now it is the homeowners responsibility to remove the rest of the tree as its a private tree.
