Description

Twice this week I and others in the Wooster Square neighborhood have experienced a rusty brown sediment in our tap water. Called various city departments and was told this is common when hydrants or water mains are opened.
Might the city or some responsible party send out a notice or post one on the city website alerting residents that this is temporary and not a health hazard?
The experience was fairly disturbing because although we've lived here for 9 years this has never occurred before.
City of New Haven administration? Are you there?
Please clarify this issue.
Thanks
