Southbound Broadway just at 51st St, construction site has three through lanes and 1 bike lane all channeling into 2 through lanes at a very congested and dangerous location, and with no advance warning of the bike lane closure, just a small sign on the construction site itself. A pedestrian walkway is provided and most bike riders are going through that way, including and OPD bike patrol officer who I just saw riding on the walkway at high speed, and who could have easily run into a pedestrian at the blind corner at the far end. Please follow up with this construction site to make sure the traffic control plans are being followed, and are up to current Oakland standards for bike and pedestrian accommodation.
