Boy in town cut his foot on beach debris while trying to help clean up the beach with a group of friends. It swelled and he couldnt walk. Mom took to pediatrician and he cleaned it and gave him antibiotics. Had to return yesterday again to Dr because he was not well. PLEASE BE CAREFUL

I'm curious what the plan is for beach clean-up overall. Near my place on 90th street lies a large car/truck tire and a white leather car seat (or top of living room chair?) floated in yesterday, as well as an abundance of trash being left behind by careless beach goers since the trash cans have not been returned to the beach. It feels like we need the sand sifting trucks to come through...and while we're at it, that might be a nice routine investment for our town, in general, outside of turtle nesting season. We must be getting tax money from these hotels, so reinvesting in our beaches as well as other areas of town would be lovely.
