I believe they are talking about westbound on 70th Ave at US 19 and I agree, the light is way too short. If one car turns left and doesn't pull up enough to let others go around then only the car turning gets to go. I have sat there for up to four light cycles to get through the intersection. That opening to McDonalds on 70th Ave needs to be closed off. There are two other openings for people to use. People turning into McDonalds can back cars up into US 19 and cause you to be blocking when the light changes.
hi! this doesn't happen all the time but no I did mean gandy and 19. heading north this morning only 6 to 9 cars got though before turning red again. traffic was backed up to 70.
Oh, sorry, in your original post there was not enough info so I assumed it was US 19 and 70th Ave. You have to give them as much info as possible to make sure they understand your issue and they can correct it. I believe that may be a state or county road so I don't think PP can help. It could be the same for US 19 and 70th Ave so we both may be out of luck. Hopefully something can be done.
Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. As stated by one of the respondents, both of the intersections are FDOT intersections maintained by Pinellas County Traffic Signal Operations. We will forward these concerns accordingly.
