Description

08/08/2017 Dangerous longitudinal cracks remain on Horseshoe Road (SR 1003) in both East Lampeter Township and Upper Leacock Township. The photos were taken recently near 2366 Horseshoe Road. These cracks, often 2 to 3 inches deep, are particularly dangerous to bicyclists.

Also, there are potholes along Horseshoe Road at the upper entrance/exit to Conestoga Valley High School.

These same problems on Horseshoe Road were reported in August 2015 (https://en.seeclickfix.com/issues/1846656). Also, they were reported to PennDOT (20150813-D8-9ZD53F). PennDOT did subsequently repair many of the cracks on Horseshoe Road; however, some cracks were not repaired. Also, where PennDOT did make repairs, large piles of gravel were often left on the edge of the road, again endangering bicyclists and pedestrians.
