Description
Awaiting of incomplete 45 year old sidewalk, proper pavement signage for parallel parking. -Pending the No Outlet, Dead End sign by entrance corner of 42 and 18.
This morning 5-24-2017 Maintenance is building the temporary fence by their empty lot; in order for the City of Miami to complete the sidewalk and without vehicular damage to their better, stronger permanent fence. I congratulate Maintenance for diligently acting proactively towards this goal.
Awaiting on NRO to further assist with: Uber, Lyft, Curb, Taxis illegally taking over residential area. During 2013 Miami International Airport (MIA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) opened the McLaughlin Bridge. Before 2013 the taxis had not access to transit the area of Airport Villas. MIA and DOT created this situation to their advantage and do little to safely provide a solution to the residents.
From my office building I can hear the MIA taxis continuous rudeness and honking their cars. In my opinion Police has lost total control, vehicles for hire might leave the area when they see the patrols, but as soon as they can they return, lurk, pestering the residents. What is the possibility of 24/7 patrolling the area?
A good point from 42 and 18 neighbor “Robert 4301” and how can MIA allow bicycles and where is the Bicycle Route (diamond signage) on pavement? This neighbor, too, asked around and Miami Beach, Fashion District have the Residents Only Sign with $0.00 charge to the residents that pay FPL, garbage, water, utilities. (Residential permits are not permitted on commercial vehicles in accordance with Miami-Dade Sec.142-1103.)
Now, a homeless person is using the DOT old bus-bench to sleep. Since DOT refuses to allow school buses to safely maneuver U-Turns, then I encourage DOT to emulate MDAD by removing bus-bench and fencing the empty bus-loop lot. Ineptitude to the present situations are only creating more issues.
I am copying Commissioners as they have been very instrumental to the group of people we gather today for the assistance, safety and security of my neighborhood.
Thank you for your assistance,
Barbara Grant

Awaiting on original report,,, some updates below... Awaiting of incomplete 45 year old sidewalk, proper pavement signage for parallel parking.
-No Outlet, Dead End signs COMPLETED 2017.
-Awaiting City of Miami, Miami-Dade County Trolley to access our area as the only Public Transportation, closest bus stop is a mile away... LeJuene and busy interceptions does not facilitate a better route for passengers to reach bus... etc.
-300 families in this 1 block signed Petition for Residents Parking Only... Commissioner Gort has yet to agree on a date/time to meet along with Mayor Suarez, Commissioner Sosa and MIA-MDAD.

-Finally 3 inop LED 'L' shaped streets lights reported 4-2017... are not on 6-2018.
-Perimeter Road closure has caused more traffic on our 1-street of the 1,050 vehicles needed for "Traffic Calming" solutions May 2018 only 925 vehicles were reported on a 24 hours study.
-Street Light on old Child Care Center Bldg. 3050 can be better served by a 3-way stop signs... and further helping by moving that street light to 43 Court N.W. and 14 Street as residents can easily be made to wait 3-5 minutes to cross route and access East and South... for vehicles block the interceptions.
