Description

Cars have been parked on the front lawn of this property for over 10 hours today. It is now midnight and the front lawn is still littered with parked cars. St. Petersburg collects taxes based on property value assessments which would lead one to believe they might enforce code compliance. The homes adjacent to this "parking lot" pay over $15,000 a year in property taxes and several homes on this street are for sale at even higher valuations. Is it not within the power of the city code compliance department and inspector Eric Hirvela to issue fines for repeated flagrant code violations? This has become a habitual problem for the last 4 months...
