Pedestrian snow operations have been ongoing since Thursday, however continuing snowfall makes clearing sidewalks a challenge.
Public Works is increasing their equipment deployment beginning this afternoon. With the snow predicted for tonight/tomorrow, we expect crews to continue their operations through Tuesday. Public Works continues to coordinate with public safety partners to ensure roadways are prioritized to maintain emergency vehicle access. In case of emergencies, please call 911 to request immediate assistance.
The City has inspected hundreds of locations submitted as icy/unshoveled sidewalk complaints and issued many citations. Due to recent warm weather, we believe many additional locations have now melted. If you suspect a sidewalk is still in an icy/unshoveled condition that needs to be investigated, please open a new issue for our staff.
