OK, Automatic spell check did poor job, someone has thrown lava rocks into the trail. I kicked many off to the side but there are still a lot of them on the trail. My daughter hit one on her road bike and it blew out the side wall of the tire requiring us to put something between the tube and the tire just to pump it up enough to get home. That was a $45 tire that is ruined because someone tossed rocks into the trail intentionally. Those rocks didn't magically hop up and get into the trail on their own. Lava rocks are sharp too.
Thank you for reporting this issue to us via SeeClickFix St. Pete. We will forward the details you have provided to the appropriate City department so that they may investigate and take any necessary action. We appreciate your help! Sincerely, Mayor's Action Center
There was nothing wrong with the curbing. If you read the problem, the lava rocks from around the trees were thrown into the trail. The parks dept should have gone out to clean up the trail or whatever dept. handles cleaning the trail. Also, maybe an alternative to lava rocks could be implemented to avoid disgruntled pedestrians from throwing the rocks into the trail. This is a hazard to cyclists.
